The Central Rock Rat, Central Thick-tailed Rock-rat, Macdonnell Range Rock-rat, (Zyzomys pedunculatus) is a species of rodent in the family Muridae. It is found only in Australia.
The species was believed to have become extinct in 2002 after severe brush fires in its habitat, but four examples were found alive in 2010.[1]
